Contains photographs of the following military units: 5th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard, 28th Division. General description of the collection: The Richard W. Watson photograph collection consists of an oversize album of photos and clippings relative to his service in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He served as private of the 5th Regiment from 1898 through lieutenant and quartermaster in 1909. From 1910 to 1916 he was quartermaster of the 2nd Brigade. He served on the 28th Division staff on the Mexican Border in 1916 and in WWI. He became adjutant general of the Division during WWI and served in that capacity after the war. The album's photos of staff groups continues up to 1928.
